Palazzo Casavola is located in the bustling heart of the town centre on Corso Italia, the property is raised high above the hussle and bussle on the first floor. Your first job will be to park your car if you have one. This can be done in ‘Piazza Crispi’ the square next just a few steps away from the front door, you will need to pay a small parking fee during peak hours in the morning and late afternoon here. Otherwise you can park for free a little further afield although we advise checking all road signs carefully to avoid any fines. Parking in Martina Franca can at times be very straight forward but during peak times (dropping and picking up kids from school around 8am and 1pm and heading to and from work 9am, 5pm and 8pm and going out for dinner times towards the end of the week and weekend 8-10pm) it is advised to leave the car parked and walk as you may lose your space and not find another one for hours!
Once you’re parked you will enter the property through the imposing front doors on the main road and into a surprisingly peaceful central courtyard. From here you will take the original stone steps up to the first floor where you will find your apartment to the left. There is no-one above you.
Once inside you have the large open plan kitchen and dining area to you left, and cosy but elegant sitting area ahead and two double bedrooms (one en-suite) and two bathrooms.
The apartment offers views over the central street of Martina Franca as well as over the tranquil central city park known as ‘Villa Garibaldi’ which is located directly behind the building. You can walk through or along this park to get to either the main shopping street of Martina Franca or the main square Piazza XX Settembre from which you enter the original ‘old town’.
